Web application for Industrious Labs

The project

We developed a web mapping application for Industrious Labs to highlight communities affected by industrial pollution.

Our role

We built the tool from start to finish including design and development. We worked closely with the team at Industrious Labs to design and implement a tool that could be part of the release of their report entitled The Industrial Equity Mapper: Stories of Industrial Pollution in the U.S.

Features of the work

• We wrote the application using React with Typescript
• The app was developed as a web component to allow the client to embed in an existing website
• We used the Mapbox GL API and Mapbox Studio to prepare and display the map data
• We designed a custom basemap to follow the client's design guidelines
• We used Victory Charts for the charting
